Print barcode labels

هذه المقالة غير مترجمة إلى لغتك بعد، لذلك تُعرض النسخة الإنجليزية.

Print barcode labels for your items, to stick on products and scan at the POS, on sales invoices and on bills.

Go to Products / Services › Barcode.

  1. In Select product, choose what to print labels for. The list has every active item, each of its variants (shown as Item - Variant) and each of its extra units (shown as Item (Box)), with the barcode and the sales price.
  2. Set Qty, the number of labels to print for that row (up to 500).
  3. Add more rows the same way. Each row can be added only once.
  4. Tick what to print with the barcode:
    • Product Name above the barcode,
    • Product Rate, the sales price (of the variant or unit for those rows),
    • Barcode Number, the barcode text under the bars.
  5. Click Print to print the labels on an A4 sheet, four across (a label is never split between two pages), or PDF to download the sheet as a PDF file.

Labels are printed as Code 128, which every barcode scanner reads. The label holds exactly the barcode saved on the item, variant or unit, so scanning it finds that item, variant or unit.

Barcode numbers

  • An item's barcode is set on the item (Barcode field). Leave it empty and a barcode is made for you.
  • A barcode can be digits, English letters and symbols, up to 100 characters, for example a maker's EAN-13 (5901234123457), a UPC (036000291452) or your own code (TSHIRT-RED-XL). Arabic or Kurdish letters can't be printed as a barcode, so they are not accepted.
  • Made barcodes are 13 digits starting with 2 (the range kept for in-store codes), so they never clash with a maker's barcode.
  • Variants and extra units (for example the Box unit) can have their own barcodes, so scanning a box adds a box and scanning Red / XL adds that variant.
  • Barcodes must be unique across items, variants and units.
