Warehouses

A warehouse is any place you keep stock: a store room, a shop, a van. Stock is always held per warehouse, and you need at least one before you can buy, sell or count goods. New companies start with one, Main Warehouse; rename it or add more.

Go to Products / Services › Warehouse.

Adding a warehouse

1. Click Add.
2. Enter the Warehouse Name (unique), and Country and City (both required). Mobile and Email are optional.
3. Save.

The number of warehouses is limited by your plan.

How warehouses are used

• Purchase bills, sales invoices and quotations: the warehouse is chosen per line. A new line starts in the item's Default Warehouse.
• Credit and debit notes: each line returns to (or from) the warehouse of the original line.
• POS, stock adjustments and stock counts: one warehouse for the whole document, chosen at the top.
• Stock transfers: from one warehouse to another.

You can't sell more than a warehouse holds; see Stock rules.

Deleting

A warehouse used on any document can't be deleted, and you must keep at least one warehouse.
