Tables board

ئەم بابەتە هێشتا وەرنەگێڕدراوەتە سەر زمانەکەت، بۆیە وەشانە ئینگلیزییەکەی پیشان دەدرێت.

The board shows all your places (tables, rooms, seats or stations) at a glance, so you know which ones are free, which have guests and which are waiting to pay. It's for restaurants, cafés, hotels, salons, gaming halls and any business where an order belongs to a place.

Go to Hospitality › Board. The board needs the Hospitality and Retail (POS) sections in your plan, and the Tables permission (Hospitality Section). Opening a place also needs the POS permission with Create.

Add your places first in Places.

Reading the board

Color Means
Grey: Free Nobody is at the place.
Purple An order is open: the card shows how long it has been open, the number of items and the total.
Amber: Bill printed The bill was printed and the guests are waiting to pay.

The counts at the top (Free, Open, Bill printed) follow the area you picked. When places have areas (Indoor, Terrace, Floor 1…), buttons at the top show one area at a time; All shows every place.

The board refreshes by itself every 15 seconds, so every till sees the same thing. Refresh reloads it at once.

Taking an order at a place

  1. Tap a free place. The POS opens with the place's name above the cart (for example Table T3).
  2. Add the items, as in any POS sale.
  3. Press Hold. The order is saved for the place and you're back on the board. The place turns purple.

When the guests order more, tap the purple place: its order comes back into the cart. Add the items and press Hold again.

Bill and payment

  • Print bill prints the bill without taking payment. The place turns amber and the cart stays open.
  • Cash Payment or Bank Payment takes the payment and prints the receipt. After you close the receipt you're back on the board and the place is free again.
  • Board (the link next to the place's name in the POS) goes back to the board without saving.

What happens in the accounts

An order at a place is a held sale: a draft with no invoice number. While it's open, nothing goes to stock or the accounts, and it doesn't appear in Sales Invoices, POS Orders or the reports. When it's paid it becomes a normal POS sale with the next invoice number, the stock goes down and the payment is recorded. See Holding a sale.

To cancel an order (the guests left without ordering), open Held sales in the POS and use the bin icon. This needs the POS permission with Delete. The place is free again.

Good to know

  • A place has one open order at a time. If two tills open the same free place and both hold, the second order is still held but isn't linked to the place: you'll see "This place already has an open order." Find it in Held sales.
  • Picking another sale from Held sales in the POS leaves the place's POS: that sale is paid as a normal POS sale.
  • The customer on a place's order is the default customer unless you choose another one, so a known guest can still be on the bill.
