Inventory reports
The inventory reports show what you have, where it is, what it is worth and how it moved. They are under Reports › Inventory. Cost columns and the valuation report need the View Cost permission.
| Report | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Item Master Summary | Every item with its code, category, brand, unit, prices and current stock. Users without View Cost don't see the purchase rate. |
| Item Expiration Summary | Batches with their manufacturing and expiry dates and stock, so you can sell or remove what is about to expire. |
| Inventory Balance (Quantity Only) | Stock on hand per item, variant, batch and warehouse, without values. With Batch Date on in Preferences, manufacturing and expiry dates are shown too. |
| Inventory Valuation Summary | Stock on hand with its average cost and total value. Needs View Cost. |
| Stock Movement | An item card: the balance before the From date, then every movement in and out (purchase, sale, return, adjustment, transfer, count) with document, quantity, unit cost, running quantity and value, per item, variant, batch and warehouse. Filter by date, item and warehouse. |
| Low Stock | Items at or below their Reorder Level, with current stock and the shortage. Filter by category, brand and warehouse. |
Tips
- Use Stock Movement to answer "why is this quantity what it is?": it lists every document that changed it, and the document number opens it. Clicking an item name in Inventory Balance, Inventory Valuation Summary or Low Stock opens its Stock Movement.
- Set a Reorder Level on items you must never run out of, and check Low Stock before ordering.
- Stock figures come from posted documents only; drafts and quotations are not included.
