Stock transfer

ئەم بابەتە هێشتا وەرنەگێڕدراوەتە سەر زمانەکەت، بۆیە وەشانە ئینگلیزییەکەی پیشان دەدرێت.

A stock transfer moves goods from one warehouse to another, for example from the main store to a shop. Quantities change in both warehouses; the value moves with the goods at average cost, so no accounting entry is needed.

Turn on Show Stock Transfer in Preferences, then go to Products / Services › Stock Transfer and click Add.

Creating a transfer

  1. Choose Warehouse From and Warehouse To. They must be different.
  2. Set the Date and an optional reference.
  3. Add the items with Select product, choosing variant and batch where needed, and enter the Qty of each.
  4. Add a Description and Save as Draft (no stock moves) or Save and Post (needs the approve permission). A draft is moved later with Post on its page; the stock rules are checked then. See Draft and approved documents.

Each line moves at the item's current average cost in the sending warehouse. Users with View Cost see the rate and total; others don't.

Rules

  • You can only transfer goods that keep stock.
  • You can't transfer more than the sending warehouse holds ("You can not transfer products that have a negative or zero balance").
  • The transfer number is given when you save and stays the same when you edit.
  • The usual stock rules apply: no back-dating before an item's last movement, and a transfer can't be changed once the moved stock has been used again. See Stock rules.
  • With stock transfers turned off in Preferences, transfers are refused ("Stock transfers are turned off in Settings > Preferences.").

Transfers use the Transfer permission.
