Backup, reset and delete

ئەم بابەتە هێشتا وەرنەگێڕدراوەتە سەر زمانەکەت، بۆیە وەشانە ئینگلیزییەکەی پیشان دەدرێت.

The company owner can download a complete copy of the company's data at any time, reset the company (start again from empty) or delete it completely. Reset and delete are permanent.

Downloading your data

Go to Settings › Data BackUp and click Download backup. Only the company owner can download it; other users see a message instead.

You get one zip file (ZhmaraX-Backup-<company>-<date>.zip) with:

In the zip What it holds
data/ One CSV file per table (sales, purchases, journals, customers, items, payroll, banking, settings and so on) with all your company's records. Each file is named after its module and table, for example sales.SalesMaster.csv (sales invoices) or inventory.Product.csv (items). CSV files open in Excel; Arabic and Kurdish text shows correctly.
data/Users.csv Your company's user accounts: name, email, phone and role. Passwords are not included.
files/ Your uploaded files: logo, item images and profile pictures.
backup-info.txt When and by whom the backup was made, and how many rows each table has.

Left out on purpose: your email account password (Email settings) and your online payment client secrets. Shared data that every company uses, such as the default chart of accounts groups, isn't included either.

The backup is a copy for you to keep. It can't be loaded back into Zhmara X.

Each download is recorded in the company's activity log. The Zhmara X team can also download a backup of your company if you ask them for help.

The Reset and Delete company pages also have a Download backup button, so you can take a copy just before.

Backups are your responsibility: download them regularly, store them somewhere safe with restricted access (encrypted if possible), and check that the files open. The file contains all your company's data, so don't share it.

Reset company data

Reset starts the company again as if it had just been registered. Only the company owner can do it.

Go to Account Manager › Company data, and under Danger zone › Reset company data click Reset.

Deleted Kept
All accounting data: chart of accounts entries, journals, invoices, bills, receipts, payments, banking, fixed assets and budgets Your own account: email, password, two-factor settings and profile picture
All inventory: items, services, stock, warehouses, adjustments, transfers and counts Your plan and subscription payments
All customers, suppliers, payroll, projects, settings, preferences and activity logs Your company name, email and phone (you can change them in the setup wizard)
All employee accounts: they are signed out and can no longer sign in
Uploaded files (logo, item images), except your profile picture

The default settings of a new company are created again and the setup wizard opens.

To confirm, enter your password and tick "I understand that all company data and all employee accounts will be permanently deleted."

Delete the company

Delete removes the company and everything in it permanently: all data, uploaded files and every user account of the company, including yours. Everyone is signed out.

Go to Account Manager › Company data, and under Danger zone click Delete company. Only the company owner can delete their company. Enter your password and tick "I understand that my company, all its data and all its users will be permanently deleted."

Reset and delete can't be undone, and the data can't be recovered. Download a copy of your data first.
