Online payments (QR)

ئەم بابەتە هێشتا وەرنەگێڕدراوەتە سەر زمانەکەت، بۆیە وەشانە ئینگلیزییەکەی پیشان دەدرێت.

Your customers can pay by scanning a QR code with their bank app. FIB (First Iraqi Bank) is the first payment provider; others can be added later without changing how you work.

The company owner sets this up in Settings › Payments. Other users don't see that tab.

Where the money goes

Every online payment is paid into your main bank account: the Bank Ledger in Ledger configuration. To keep money in another bank account, move it there yourself with a bank transfer.

Demo and Production

Each payment provider has two sets of keys. FIB gives you both when you open a merchant account.

Demo Production
What it is FIB's test server Your real FIB account
Money Test money only; the real FIB app can't pay a Demo QR code Real money from your customers
Keys Optional: your own FIB test keys. Without them, Demo uses Zhmara X's test keys while Zhmara X allows it Required for real payments
Plans All plans Business plan only. Demo and Training plans can use Demo or Off

Add your keys

  1. Open Settings › Payments.
  2. In the Production card (or Demo card), type the Client Id and Client Secret FIB gave you.
  3. Click Save & test. The keys are saved only if FIB accepts them. Otherwise you see "The provider refused these keys, or could not be reached. Nothing was saved."

The secret is stored encrypted and is never shown again. To change the keys, type both again and click Save & test. Remove keys deletes a key set; if the Mode was using it, the Mode goes back to Off.

Mode

The Mode decides which keys your company uses:

  • Off: no QR payments anywhere.
  • Demo: test payments with your Demo keys (or Zhmara X's, while allowed). Every Demo payment is marked Demo.
  • Production: real payments with your Production keys. You can pick it only after the Production keys passed the test.

The box under the Mode shows what is in use right now, or why payments aren't available.

Adding Production keys doesn't switch to real money by itself: choose Production and click Save. You can switch back to Demo to try something, without retyping any keys.

Where QR payment is offered

Three switches choose the places:

  • POS: bank payment at the counter.
  • Online shop: shoppers pay when they order.
  • Documents: sales invoices, receipts, customers, income and supplier refunds.

Received payments

Under the settings, Received payments lists every online payment from your customers: date, place (POS, online shop or documents), status, amount, the sale or order it became, who paid, and the payment number. Demo marks test payments.

Tick Paid, not applied to see payments where the customer paid but the sale or order wasn't saved (for example the POS was closed at that moment). Record those yourself with Record Payment on the invoice, or a receipt.

If online payments can't be taken right now, for example because there is no active IQD main bank account, the page says why at the top.

Notifications

The company owner gets a notice in the bell (with a pop-up when signed in) when:

  • Plan renewed: your plan payment to Zhmara X was received and the plan was extended, with the new end date. You also get a Payment received email.
  • Online shop order paid: a shopper paid an order online; the order details are in your email.
  • Payment received but not recorded (warning): a customer paid, but the sale or order wasn't saved, for example because the POS was closed right after paying. Record it from Received payments. For a plan payment, contact support.

Demo payments say Demo: no real money in the notice. Payment notices stay in the bell for 30 days. Paying at the POS shows the result on the POS itself, so it doesn't add a notice.

If a bank payment doesn't work

When the bank payment can't be made, for any reason (the provider is down, the payment is declined or runs out of time, it is cancelled, or the main bank account isn't set), the whole bank operation is cancelled and nothing is saved. Take the payment in cash instead; in the online shop the shopper pays on delivery.

If the customer had already paid just before the cancel, the payment counts and is recorded normally, so nobody pays twice.
